Mark Rhatigan began his life of public service early, when he joined the Air Force right out of high school in 1976. After nearly 20 years of serving his country as an aircraft mechanic, he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant in Mountain Home in 1995.
After the Air Force he continued his career as an aircraft mechanic at the Boise Airport where he worked for Horizon Air and Western Aircraft, eventually being recommended by FAA inspectors to become a Designated Mechanic Examiner (DME).
Mark has three children and four grandchildren, all of which live in Idaho. His youngest son is 15 and is homeschooled by Mark.
Mark continues to serve his community in many ways. He is the Republican State Committeeman from Elmore county, and Elmore county's Republican Precinct Committeeman for precinct 8. He has been part of the leadership team of the local Trail Life scout troop ID-0316, since it was chartered in June of 2014. He also serves in the children's ministry at Calvary Chapel Mountain Home, and is a born-again Christian.
He is running as a liberty-minded, constitutional conservative, willing to carry your voice and concerns to our statehouse for you. The only special interest group he is interested in working for is "We the People" of district 23!
